The End of Fast Fashion.

Ever wonder what made consumer culture boom so much?
Ever wonder how that was interconnected to the industrial revolution & other more highly processed states of doing things?
“Consumer culture” has been something deeply ingrained in our culture for probably over a hundred years now or more, gradually amplifying with more superior methods of marketing, with more addictive forms of advertising.
Remember, consumer culture IS hard wired into us, but also easily avoidable.  So long as you are not a slave to your own dopamine & serotonin levels, you’ll be good. Ways to naturally balance these things? Proper balanced whole foods diet (plant based), self-awareness, mindfulness, hydration. Among other things, but those are a start. Also, whatever you personally find to be therapeutic.
Whatever balances you.

Fast Fashion was a concept birthed in consumer culture, basically a by-product of cheap, quick, disposable. But… we are learning, among other things, this comes with not only a ton of pollution, but also a ton of waste. Fashion is one of the predominant polluters on the global largely due to fast fashion & the disposable mindset that it has. This is something already in the works of changing, but will be ever increasing in changeability as our new age of authenticity & sustainability becomes a way of life.
Not just a trend.

The closet of the future will have very little low quality items or components to it. We will soon be able to have digital wardrobe systems for any outfit of our choosing, to be worn for a period of time, a festival, or an event. Enough to post our style creativity on our social medias and be able to have hundreds of other outfit options for the next week. The closet of the future will be portal, expandable & customized for you, the wearer. We will not only be consumers in the near future but also producers, experiencers, end users.
